Selected candidates will be escorted to the Military Training Centre for final selection on 07 to 11 May 2024.
Qualitative Requirements:
- Male: Age 18 to 25 years, Height 5'5" and above, Weight as per BMI
- Female: Age 18 to 25 years, Height 5' and above, Education qualification: Open
- No prominent unnatural marks (tattoos), body piercing, knock-knee, or hearing impairment.
- Visual acuity of 6/6.

About Royal Bhutan Army:
The Royal Bhutan Army (RBA; Dzongkha: བསྟན་སྲུང་དམག་སྡེ་, romanized: bStan-srung dmag-sde) stands as the guardian of Bhutan's sovereignty and territorial integrity, safeguarding the nation against security threats. Under the supreme command of the Druk Gyalpo, the RBA serves as the bulwark of the Kingdom's defense.
At the helm of the RBA's operations is Goonglon Gongma (Lt. Gen.) Batoo Tshering, the esteemed Chief Operations Officer, overseeing strategic initiatives and tactical maneuvers.
Among its elite units, the RBA hosts the Royal Bodyguard of Bhutan (RBG), tasked with ensuring the security of the King, the royal family, and dignitaries.
Traditionally, though not mandatory, it was customary for at least one son from Bhutanese families to serve in the army, a testament to the nation's commitment to national defense. Moreover, during emergencies, the RBA has the capability to mobilize militia units. Furthermore, it stands ready to collaborate with the Royal Bhutan Police (RBP) in upholding law and order when called upon.
