Job Overview: As a Shop Assistant, you'll be an integral part of our operations, responsible for various semi-skilled tasks in our Shop. Your duties will involve uncrating, cleaning, and preparing parts, equipment, and raw materials for fabrication or repair, both in the Shop and field settings. You'll utilize hand and power-operated tools and machines to carry out your work efficiently, ensuring the assembly of prefabricated meter sets, regulator stations, and similar assemblies. Additionally, you'll operate mechanized material handling equipment like cranes, electric shop trucks, and forklifts. Safety and adherence to regulations are paramount in this role.
Requirements: To succeed in this position, you should demonstrate a commitment to safe work habits and strict adherence to safety regulations. A mechanical aptitude and the ability to follow instructions are crucial. There may be overtime requirements based on operational needs. Additionally, adherence to WCB standards necessitates a clean-shaven appearance.
